DETROIT -

The Queen of Soul has cancelled her upcoming show in metro Detroit.

Aretha Franklin issued an open letter to fans saying her July 27th show at DTE Energy Music Theater in Clarkston is now cancelled.

Here's the letter:

Dear Fans, Friends and Supporters,

Regretfully I must cancel one last time my DTE Energy Pine Knob Music Theatre concert July 27 due to my miscalculation of the end of my treatment. It would be totally disruptive to stop them now and go into concert with total success right at the door, 100%.

I love you much and more than the spoken word can tell. I'll see you next summer.

Vivre Detroit and the concert,

Aretha
