PLYMOUTH, Mich. -

The Plymouth Ice Festival kicked off Friday with an opening ceremony and a ribbon cutting.

With three days of events, there will be plenty of world-class ice sculptures on display.

Among many other competitions, the dueling chainsaws will be back by popular demand Saturday at 7 p.m.

Fire and ice will be combined each night to light up towers and burn for approximately two hours.

There will also be cross-country skiing, more than 20 local vendors and businesses, food, drinks, a museum of the American experience and more.

Official hours of operation:

Friday, Jan. 10 - 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 11 - 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 12 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
