The holiday season will officially kick off in Plymouth when the tree lights are turned on along Main Street.

The Main St. Boulevard Tree Lighting and Plymouth Salvation Army Red Kettle Kick Off happens in Kellogg Park Friday, November 15.

The first 100 people will get a free gift from the Salvation Army.  The event is also the start of the Red Kettle season to raise money that will be spent to help the needy in the community.

People who bring a new toy or a non-perishable food item can enter to gift certificates to downtown Plymouth businesses.

There will be free coffee, hot chocolate and cookies at 6:30 p.m.   The lights will be officially turned on at 7 p.m.

The crowd will also be entertained with music from WCSX Radio, the Salvation Army Brass Band and the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Choir.
