Announcement to be made for America's Thanksgiving Parade

DETROIT -

A major announcement will be made Thursday at 11:30 a.m. by the Parade Company and Art Van Furniture concerning America's Thanksgiving Parade.

The announcement will be made near the corner of Woodward Avenue and Kirby in Midtown Detroit, adjacent to the Detroit Institute of Arts.

Key speakers at the announcement will be Detroit Mayor Dave Bing, Parade Company President Tony Michaels and Art Van Furniture Chairman Art Van Elslander.

It has been released that the announcement made on Thursday will be an exciting and significant one regarding the parade.

America's Thanksgiving Parade has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report Travel as one of the best Thanksgiving parades in the country.

Art Van Furniture is the Midwest's largest retailer and America's largest independent furniture retailer with 35 stores throughout Michigan.

The Parade Company was founded in 1984 and is compromised of key civic and corporate leaders in Detroit's community. The Parade Company works year-round to bring a wide variety of events to the City of Detroit and the region.
