Last year the market attracted over 3,000 vendors per week and allowed Metro?Detroit residents to experience Eastern Market on a completely new day! Building upon last year's success, Tuesday's Market has been extended later into harvest season and will run from July 10 to October 30. The market will be open each Tuesday from 11am?6pm.

Tuesday's will feature over 50 food vendors per week, with a focus on Michigan and locally produced items. Many of these vendors are Saturday favorites, however over a dozen of these vendors will be exclusive to the Tuesday Market, including several Detroit based businesses, urban farmers, and specialty food makers producing under the Michigan Cottage Food Law. A wide variety of special events help "Tuesdays" serve as a community gathering place by
celebrating the agricultural, social, culinary, and artistic treasures of our city, region, and state. Planned events in 2012, include cooking demonstrations by Gourmet Everyday, nutrition & consumer horticulture outreach by MSU Extension, canning and preservation information through Ball® Jars' "Discover You Can" program, free community yoga and zumba classes, MOSAIC Youth Theatre performances, Kidney Foundation youth nutrition workshops, and WIC Project FRESH coupon distributions - just to name a few.
