DETROIT -

A young Detroit family is one step closer to a dream come true.

They will have a new home of their own by the holidays, thanks to some special people with the “Project: Welcome Home” initiative.

Compuware has partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the Parade Company to build the new home on Detroit’s east side.

Out of more than 100 families who applied, the chosen family was Orlando and Kyomonique McQueen along with their 11-month-old and 3-year-old sons.

Also announced today, Art Van Furniture will help furnish the McQueen’s new home.
