DETROIT -

Two professional cheerleaders from Detroit will travel to Mumbai, India, on March 27th, to perform for an international audience.

Katlyn MacDonald, age 22, and Lauren Bower, age 25, are both dancers with the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders (DPC).

They pair will travel with four other pro cheerleaders from New York City to perform at the 2013 DLF Indian Premier League Cricket tournaments.

MacDonald, a senior at Eastern Michigan University is from the DPC 2012 team and Bower is a wellness professional from the 2010 team.

After submitting dance profiles from across the country, the final six women were chosen by Woodward Entertainment Group in March.

While in India, the dancers will have the opportunity to not only perform on television, but also to model, act, and attend cultural events while representing Michigan and their team.

"This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for these ladies," said Jonathan Krueger creative director for Woodward Entertainment.
