Chicago based artist Jordan "POSE" Nickel teamed up with The Detroit Academy Of Arts & Science today to paint a temporary mural in The Belt. The Academy puts artistic development first to the education of todays youth. Nickel taught the kids about using spray paint and got them going with some basic techniques. Another cool thing was, the paint POSE supplied was called "Sugar" first paint ever made from harvested sugar cane which results in lower toxins. The project was put on by Bedrock Real Estate and Library Street Collective who will be donating a large scale painting from the artist to be displayed in the schools common area.
