Michigan Science Center hosts Earth Day events

MiSci also to have extended hours

DETROIT – Tuesday, April 22nd is Earth Day. The worldwide celebration helps display support for environmental protection. It's organized annually by the Earth Day Network, and more than 192 countries participate in the celebration.

During the week of April 21-26, the Michigan Science Center is hosting several special, sustainability-focused activities and presentations. The topics of animal habitats, the sun's relationship with the earth, recycling, weather, oceans, and trees will all be thoroughly explored.

To wrap up the week's activities, the Science Center will host Wayne State Professor Eranda Nikolla. On Saturday, April 26, she is giving a lecture on clean energy. It's a part of the Center's "Ask the Expert" series.

In addition to all of the special activities and presentations, MiSci will have extended hours this week. For more information, head to their website.
