To keep your car on the road longer, one of the most important things you can do it stay up-to-date on its oil changes.

According to AutoMD, oil issues are among the most common and costly car maintenance problems.

To avoid issues, make sure you change your oil at the recommended times. While newer cars don’t need oil changes as often as older vehicles, it’s still important to get the oil changed. Oil helps your engine run correctly, so old oil can cause your car to not function as well as it should be.

For older cars that go through oil faster, they are in danger of driving on too low of an oil level. To avoid this, it’s recommended that you check your car’s oil every two weeks.

If you have questions regarding how often you need to change your car’s oil, the owner’s manual can be a good place to get all of the information you need.
