Loose stones can create natural border

Homes with defined landscapes in their yards often look for a way to separate the landscaping from the rest of the yard with a barrier a wall. A natural way to create this barrier is through loose stones.

Loose stone walls are made of stones stacked together without being bound to each other. These will give a more natural look than stones that are cemented into a wall.

Loose stone walls use each other for stability. Because of this, these usually use smaller stones and avoid stones that are too round.

These walls are typically built low to the ground. They serve as a visual key as to where the landscaping begins. These types of walls should not be used as retaining walls.
