Flags are useful tools for sailors. They can be used to signal for help if needed.

Signal flags are used to communicate messages between boats when they are unable to radio each other. Each flag has a specific meaning. The position of the flag can also alter the meaning of the flag.

Some flags can let other boats know if they have a diver in the water to let them know to use caution in the area. Some flags can also let sailors know if they boat is distressed or in need of help.
