Experts say this is outside-the-box move for Dodge. Will the buzz sell Durangos?

DETROIT -

Anchorman Ron Burgundy is switching gears. He's trading the anchor desk for a seat in the new Dodge Durango.

Will Ferrell plays the movie character while promoting the Durango in several new ads.

He is the third big name Chrysler has used to promote new vehicles. Eminem and Clint Eastwood were featured in Super Bowl ads over the past few years.

In the ads, Burgundy touts the vehicle's horsepower, gas mileage and space. Don't act like you're not impressed!

"Anchorman: 2, The Legend Continues" hits theaters Dec. 20th, 2014.
