IRS updates app so you can track your refund

The tax season has just started, but soon enough we'll be barreling toward April 15th.

his year, the IRS has launched an upgrade that could make your life a little easier.

You will be able to track the status of your refund, using your smartphone.

The IRS has a free mobile app that has been redesigned to include a tool that tracks the status of your refund check.

When you e-file, you can start tracking its status just 24 hours after the IRS receive your tax return. If you mail your paperwork into the IRS, the old-fashioned way, you'll have to wait 4 weeks before you can check your refund's progress.

The tax app works on both Apple and Android devices.
