DETROIT -

Some customers of Caribou coffee will have to find new places to get their morning cup of coffee.

There are published reports from across the country saying that certain stores have started to tell customers they are closing this month.

Local 4 found a sign on the door at the Caribou in Grosse Pointe Woods that said the store on Mack will close on April 14th. Local store managers at other locations could not comment on which stores are closing, and which would stay open.

Our Local 4 Consumer Unit tried calling and emailing the Caribou corporate offices, but has not received a reply.

The closures come four months after a German holding company purchased Caribou Coffee for about $325 million.
