Free electronics recycling for America Recycles Day in Southfield

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -

Clear out you closet and make space in your junk draw by recycling your old electronics at a recycling event in Southfield .

Items such as, TV's, cell phones and computers can be properly disposed of at the event without fear of someone hacking into stored data.

On November 17th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. bring any electronic gadget to the The Research Recovery And Recycling Authority Of South West Oakland County (RRRASCO).

The RRRASCO has partnered with Vintage Tech Recyclers to celebrate America Recycles Day.

Vintage Tech will ensure that all electronics are properly handled and recycled and all hard drives are wiped and destroyed using NIST 800-88 compliant wiping software.

The recycling event will be held at the RRRASCO facility on 20000 West Eight Mile Road on the northeast corner of Eight Mile and Evergreen.

Electronic items will be accepted free of charge and the event is open to the public.
